Granola

Ingredients

GRAINS AND SEEDS:
3 cups old fashioned rolled oats (not the quick stuff)
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2-1 cup wheat germ (optional)
1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional)
1/2 cup sunflower seeds (optional)
1+ cup chopped nuts (walnuts, cashews, slivered almonds, pecans or peanuts)
SWEETENING/FLAVORING:
1/4 cup brown sugar or honey
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup pineapple juice (optional)
2 tsp vanilla
2 tsp nutmeg or cinnamon
FRUIT:
1-1/2 cups raisins/dried fruit

Preparation

  1. Spray PAM on a 9"x13" pan or a cookie sheet and turn on oven at 275 degrees.
  2. Mix Sweetening/Flavoring ingredients in a sauce pan and heat.
  3. Mix grains & seeds, then drizzle sugar/oil/vanilla onto it and mix.
  4. Put in the PAM pan and toast 45 minutes at 275 deg. Stirring every 10-15 minutes.
  5. Add raisins/fruits and let it cool.
  6. Store in air tight covered container up to 2 weeks.
